WHO ARE WE?

The Gastro® Research Center (abbreviated as GASTRO_IC®) is a non-governmental organization and unique institution in Serbia engaged in scientific research and educational activities in the field of gastronomy, entrepreneurship and branding. Based in the city of Novi Sad, Serbia, this organization was formed by its founders Dušica Obrenović, Goran Gašparovski and Miloš Jeličić at the end of 2019.

The idea behind GASTRO_IC® is to create a unique gastronomic scientific and research institution in Serbia that, through its work and scientific contribution, would encourage further development of the Serbian, as well as global, hospitality industry and food market.

In addition to the aforementioned, it is also necessary to point out that one of the founding ideas of the Research Center Gastro_IC® is to raise public awareness about nutritional problems, give potential solutions to that same problems, contemporary gastronomy trends, as well as the popularization of Serbian cuisine worldwide.

Research Center “Istraživački centar Gastro®” is based on the work of the Gastronomic Association of Students®, which has, over the past decade, sought to raise awareness of the problems in the market and the importance of quality education in the hospitality industry. GASTRO_IC® emerged from the aforementioned association and the desire to continue its research and educational work as a new and reformed legal entity.
