50 Best are raising funds for restaurants and bars

With a current crisis happening and so many restaurants closing, the 50 Best organization decided to channel its energy and influence into supporting the industry through 50 Best for Recovery programme.

The 50 Best for Recovery is a programme backed by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna. Since no awards or ranking for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2020 have been planned and The World’s 50 Best Bars 2020  is under ongoing review, the focus is on helping the process of recovery. The help is not just for those fabled establishments that are part of the global elite, but for the hospitality sector as a whole. The 50 Best will be using their network to generate as much cash as possible to fund non-profit organisations across the globe which, in turn, are helping restaurants and bars in their bid to survive and thrive. They are publishing e-cookbook entitled Home Comforts: simple lockdown recipes from the world’s best chefs and bartenders, which will be downloadable in return for a small donation that will directly go into the Recovery Fund.

The 50 Best has also launched the 50 Best Recovery Hub which is a content platform that offers a wealth of advice and information for those in the sector, along with diners looking to lend a hand in reviving the industry. The 50 Best group will also use this platform to spotlight restaurants as they work towards reopening.

At the beginning of June, 50 Best will also launch a „Bid for Recovery“ auction site where diners can bid for a variety of experiences and exceptional items donated by 50 Best chefs, bartenders and brand partners. Not only will foodies have the chance to book in a bespoke gastronomic delight they will be helping accelerate the recovery process by doing so.
